Our Positive Coaching (PCA) Program

The Jack London Youth Soccer League is deeply committed to a culture of positive coaching, an environment where children can physically and emotionally thrive while learning to play the Beautiful Game. Our League is a place where:

Coaches Coach
Parents Cheer
Referees are Human

Head Coaches are required to have attended a PCA workshop as a condition of participation in our program. Head Coaches must sign a Coaches Job Description or Coach Agreement each year. Parents are required to attend a PCA workshop in their child's first year of soccer. All parents are required to sign a Parent Agreement each year.

8/30/07 Update: PCA workshops for Fall 2007 have been loaded into the Workshop Schedule.  

Our League works with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to provide live, research-based training workshops and practical tools for coaches and parents to get them on the same page about what it means to Honor the Game. Nuestra Liga trabaja con el Programa Positivo de Entrenar para facilitar vivo, investigaciónes de entrenamientos y instrumentos practicos para entrenadores y padres para tenerlos en la misma página de qué significa el Honor del Juego. Esta educación apoya a los adultos—entrenadores y padres—quienes forma la experiencia juventil de los deportes.

Nosotros quieremos una cultura donde los niños les encanta a jugar el juego. Dónde anticipan a las practicas y juegos como tiempos donde ellos se van a disfrutar. La alegria que ellos encuentran jugando durara el curso de sus vidas.
